Suppliers Code of Conduct

Introduction

This Supplier Code of Conduct is effective 2022-01-01, between Salén Ship Management and every supplier and service provider used for any purchase and service provided to Salén Ship Management AB and to the vessels under Salén Ship Management, currently; Hebridean Sky and Island Sky. Salén Ship Management is a ship management company based in Gothenburg, Sweden organized and existing under Swedish law. Our business is to manage small expedition and destination cruise ships at a very high standard.

Salén Ship Management is aware of its corporate responsibility towards the people, communities, and environment wherein we and our suppliers and service providers conduct our business. As Salén Ship Management are committed to treat employees, customers, suppliers, and residents responsibly and with fairness, we expect our suppliers to share this commitment with us. We expect from our suppliers that all their business activities fully comply with applicable national and international laws and regulations, with the principles of the United Nations Global Compact, ILO Code of Practice in Safety and Health, ILO International Labour Standards, UK Modern Slavery Act and with the requirements and standards laid out in this Supplier Code of Conduct.

Salén Ship Management is committed to protect the environment, including the marine environment in which our vessels sail and the communities in which we operate, striving to prevent adverse environmental consequences and using resources efficiently and sustainably. We require our suppliers and service providers to share this commitment and comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations, and we encourage suppliers to minimize the use of non-renewable resources, reduce and recycle waste, and minimize their environmental impact.

Salén Ship Management continuously strives to improve working procedures and standards to improve the safety, working environment and wellbeing for employees as well as investing in technical solutions onboard our vessels to reduce environmental impact in future. We encourage our suppliers and service providers to do the same.

Salén Ship Management does not assume any duty to monitor or ensure compliance with this Code, and it is up to each supplier and service provider to determine how to meet and demonstrate compliance with the principles and standards stated. Suppliers and service providers are expected to have in place a system of ethics and compliance related controls and management oversight that are appropriate for their size, complexity and exposure to ethics and compliance risks. Any violation of this Code may, subject to any other contractual terms in place, constitute a basis for termination of the relationship with Salén Ship Management.
